    Cusco is a historic place and was the capital of the Inca Empire. These roads range from a paved to a dirt road. Most trails are open for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, while some are suitable for travel by an automobile.

  • Plan Your Visit

    Cusco’s archaeological remains, including Machu Picchu and some hiking trails, involve an entrance fee. The cost of a daily pass may vary for each complex and trails. However, with a Cusco tourist tickets, you can purchase or visit almost all the sites around Cusco. Tickets are only for an individual and are valid for 24 hours, after purchase.


    Tickets for historic attractions

    Cusco’s museums, parks, and archaeological sites are open every day of the year. Machu Picchu complex, Sacsayhuaman, Pisaq, Ollantaytambo and other attractions are generally open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    When visiting Cusco make sure to purchase your tickets in advance. To enter Cusco’s most visited attractions you need to purchase a tourist ticket these can come in different forms,

    This is subdivided into I, II and II and can be purchased at the entrance of each center.


    The sections for river rafting, mountain biking, and hiking activities are open all year. However, Cusco rafting trips depend on the season and the river. The Apurimac River, Urubamba rain forest, Yavero, and Yanatile are all closed during rainy season. For the Urubamba River near Cusco, some sections are closed during the rainy season. The good news is that as one is close another opens.  Contact us for information for seasonal or maintenance closures.

  • Climate

    Cusco, is a historic city and was once the capital of the mighty Inca empire and was also the capital of the Spanish Conquistadors.  This beautiful city is located some 3,500 meters/11,100 feet above sea-level. The temperatures vary only little and they can range from 19 °C /66 °F from January to July, to 21 °C /70 °F in October and November. These months are spring which occurs just before the rainy season and is usually quite warm. The minimum temperatures can fluctuate from 7 °C/45 °F) in the period from December to February in summer, from  -1 °C/30 °F in the months of June and July
