Today, we’ll rise early to visit the highlight of your tour, Machu Picchu. A 30-minute journey from Aguas Calientes brings us to this iconic site.

We bypass typical tourist stops to show you an authentic slice of life on Lake Titicaca. First, we explore Taquile Island, wandering pre-Inca trails amidst beautiful landscapes of terraces and thatched houses. Visit local families who demonstrate ancient weaving traditions from Inca, Pukara, and Colla civilizations.
Next, enjoy a traditional lunch on the Capachica Peninsula, featuring meat, fish, and potatoes cooked in an earth oven. Participate in a ritual thanking both God and Pachamama for the food.
Finally, visit the famous floating Uros Islands made of reeds. Learn about their construction and enjoy a totora boat cruise. Return to Puno in the late afternoon to relax.
We’ll embark on a breathtaking scenic drive from Puno at 8am, winding our way through the stunning Colca Valley towards Chivay
Look out for some cool wildlife like colorful birds and grazing vicuñas, alpacas, and llamas. Once we get to Chivay, our guide will show us around the village of Yanque, where we’ll check into our hotel and grab some lunch. Afterwards, we can go for a hike with the guide or just chill at the hotel. We’ll spend the night in Yanque with breakfast included for a great start to the next day.
Kick off the day at the famous Cruz del Condor viewpoint, where you’ll witness majestic Andean condors soaring over one of the world’s deepest canyons. Take short, scenic hikes through the canyon’s rugged terrain, pausing at strategic viewpoints to admire stunning landscapes, ancient terraces, and traditional villages scattered along the canyon walls. After breakfast you are driven to the harbor where a boat will take you to the Ballestas Islands, known as Peru’s Mini Galapagos. Although we cannot walk on the this nature reserve, the 2 hour excursion is filled with amazing sights. Witness the 150-meter high Geoglyph that looks like a three-arm candlestick drawn into the side of a hill, hear the roar from the sea lions, avoid the poop from the Peruvian Boobies and Pelicans and pull out your binoculars to see the cute Humboldt Penguins. If you are lucky, you may even see dolphins swimming and playing alongside the boat.
Back in Paracas, we pack our bags and checkout as we take a las bus ride to Lima. From Lima bus station we will take you to the Airport and then back home.
