Early in the morning we will collect passengers from their hotels for a 1-hour bus ride passing small Andean villages and beautiful landscapes. Before we start our biking tour, your guide will give a safety instruction talk about how to maneuver the bikes.
We begin the tour going downhill for about 15 minutes until we arrive at a scenic viewpoint where we can see the spectacular scenery of the Sacred Valley together with the snow-capped mountains of the Veronica, Sahuasiray, Chicon and more.
We continue on a rocky path downhill for 45 minutes through the town of Maras and thereafter to Moray, a unique Inca complex, which is said to have been an experimental center for agriculture. While we are enjoying the view of this magical place, we will have a nice picnic lunch.
After a nice rest, we continue to the salt flats of Maras (Las Salineras de Maras), salt mines that captured saltwater from a natural spring already before the times of the Incas. It is a fascinating experience to visit this scenic place at the beginning of the Sacred Valley.
We finish our Cusco mountain biking tour in the Sacred Valley when our private vehicle will be waiting for us near to the Urubamba river to take us back to Cusco.
