Day 3 to 8: Rapids and spotting wild life

    Day 3 to 8

The Tambopata river changes as we immerse deep into the Jungle. During the first days, the river is narrow with nice easy rapids. The combination of tributaries transforms the river  as we descend gradually to a more carved, steep canyon. As an extra volume of water is added into the river, the speed of water streams raise downstream. These sections of your Tambopata River rafting are filled with thrilling easy to moderate Level III and IV white water rapids

After all these exciting sections of rapids, the Tambopata River relaxes, floating silently through the jungle. This is a good opportunity to see the variety of life that the Amazon provides. We paddle quietly to observe the exotic jungle ecosystem and to spot capibaras, monkeys, macaws, tapirs, caimans, giant otters and, with luck, jaguars.

The boats will navigate near the river sides and its tributaries, disembarking for fishing or hikes into the jungle, allowing us to explore the surroundings.

For lunches and dinners, our guides will choose special spots. We serve fish barbecues, chicken, beef sandwiches buffets, Mexican, pastas, rice, potatoes etc.
