Climate average for the Peruvian Northen coast
The northern coastal regions, do not experience much rain. The climatic event known as El Niño, which is famous around the world results in irregular warming of the ocean. This has influenced the climate of the coastal regions of much of Peru. The El Niño can influence the climate right up to the Lambayeque region near Chiclayo. This weather system means that the environment in these regions is unique. In the months of January to May, but often from December to June, El Nino turns the region, that is dry and dusty into one that is tropical, hot and humid. There are two different landscapes in the same region because of El Niño. If you spend enough time you can visit a dusty land and then return to witness a subtropical region. The Northern Coast, the sea is somewhat warmer, and the temperature are generally between 25 °C (77 °F) in the months of February and March and can fall as low as 21 °C (70 °F) in the period from August to October.

Climate average for Arequipa
Arequipa has the desert/ arid cool climate. Arequipa is at the southernmost tip of Peru’s desert Coast and had great sunshine and its temperatures are between 20°C / 68°F or thereabouts. The annual mean temperature is 14.7 degrees Celsius which is pleasant for a traveler. This is not the case by night and, temperatures in Arequipa can drop, especially during, the evening, when temperatures hover around 10°C / 50°F. Because of the fluctuating temperatures you need to dress appropriately. Climate average Colca Canyon
Coca Canyon has two very different seasons, because it is in the sierra territory. The sierra winter goes from December to April with rain of up to 400 mm a year. There are often fogs in January and February especially in the canyons. These foggy mornings are very beautiful and the landscape is haunting and unforgettable.
The dry season in the sierra is from May to November. It is very dry and there is no rainfall. Temperatures do rise during the day. However, the traveler needs to be aware that the temperature drops below 0°C / 32°F on the nights. This is known by the locals as “the frozen (la helada). These nights can be very beautiful. Climate average Puno Lake Titicaca
The climate in Lake Titicaca is highland/Alpine. You need to be careful because at these heights there is always a risk of altitude sickness. This landscape and climate means that a tourist can have a whole different set of adventures. In this region during dry season, from May to November, the average temperature is 14°C, reaching a high of 20°C during the daytime. However, it falls to about 4°C from June to August at night. The weather is great during the first months of the year, in the dry season, and it receives 10 hours of sunshine per day. There is little rain and fog and yet it is not too hot and ideal for tourists. The climate changes dramatically during the raining season, which occurs from December to March. The temperature is a pleasant 16°C; however, the daily high drops slightly at 9°C. The sun shines for an average of 7 to 9 hours per day with many foggy days. The best time to visit Lake Titicaca is from April to December. This is when the climate is best for the traveler.

Climate average in The Amazon Jungle
There is a vast region of plains and hills of forest in the Peruvian eastern part of the Amazonian Basin full of animals and exotic plants and flowers. The northern area of this region has an equatorial climate, it is generally hot and humid, there is regular and heavy rainfall during December to Marts.
The south Peruvian jungle, in the area known as Puerto Maldonado, where most of our Amazon tours take place specially in the Tambopata National park, has tropical climate. Tambopata during mid May to mid September has the lowest significant precipitation with almost no rain during August and mid September. During September to November there is more chances of precipitation but still is low. However, the Amazon basin looks even better with some rain. Then, from Mid December to Marts is the rainy season and February the time with significant more precipitation during the year.
